Metering Team Leader

Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Nottingham Head Office
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

Based in Nottingham, we are looking to expand our Metering Team due to continued success & growth and have created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Metering Team Leader, ensuring an excellent standard of service is provided and maintained to our Yu Energy customers.

This role requires somebody to have an in-depth understanding of Metering technical aspects of the energy industry and some Revenue Protection knowledge also. Our company is growing at a rapid pace so it’s an exciting opportunity to join an organisation which can offer a long-term future career.

What We Need from Yü
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

– Implementation of metering strategies, related policy, procedures, and best working practices to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.

– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders who impact the customer experience of metering to ensure that 3rd parties deliver on their contractual obligations.

– Work alongside the Smart Metering Programme (and other metering related change programmes) to enable successful delivery of Smart meter exchange at every customer opportunity and to embed this across the full customer base.

– Ensure that all management reporting is delivered in a timely and accurate manner with associated supporting commentary to feed into the wider retail reports, including external regulator.

– Track all metering costs back to individual drivers and aggregated root causes, creating mechanisms to identify, mitigate and control unexpected costs to the business and work with the Commercials team to implement solutions.
– Motivate, coach, train and develop staff in accordance with company values and procedures & provide an environment to inspire development within the team/individuals
– Investigate and resolve all escalated business/customer queries/complaints/strategic queries & exceptions
– Ensure all key processes and KPI’s within the Metering Team/Revenue Protection teams are performed accurately and efficiently from first bill to resolving technical exceptions.
– Co-ordinate activities and information between departments, working in a co-operative manner cross functionally within the business
– Carry out other reasonable duties as determined by management
